Company History

1991

In January, established Brighton Home Co., Ltd. to develop imported house plans, and to consult home-builders.


In April, started to import building materials.

1992

In March, developed 12 models of imported houses for resort development.


In September, imported and built an imported packaged house

1994In October, moved to Nishi-Gotanda 8-chome.
1995

In April, changed the company name to Brighton Co., Ltd.


M. Matsumoto was appointed a JETRO designated Imported House Expert Advisor, and began introducing American building materials such as Pella Windows and Sacramento Stucco products to Japan.

1998

In January, concluded an exclusive distributorship agreement with Sacramento Stucco Ltd. of California


In July, expanded sales and service territory to the Kyushu region.


In December, launched “Western Color Pamphlet” special issue

1999 By October, the number of distributors reached 15 in Japan.
2000

In August, signed an exclusive distributorship contract with Kelly-Moore Paints Company of San Carlos, California.


In September, finalized an agreement to represent Quad-Lock Building Systems Ltd. (ICF) of Surrey, BC. Canada, in Japan as a sole importer/distributor.

2001

In April, signed a distributor agreement for the Hokkaido area, and entered the market in Hokkaido.


In July, launched sales of gyro-mixers made by Field Management Company of the Netherlands.


Brought in a computerized color tilting system.


In September, installed BYK-Gardner Color Spectrophotometer system to provide perfect color matching.

2002

In January, domestic production of Quad-Lock products began.


In April, moved the office.

2003 In October, received certification of F-☆☆☆☆for Enviro-Cote, Stuccolast-E, and Black Cap.
2004

In March, launched sale of “Madison Cleaner” and “Virgin Wall System”.


In July, moved the distribution center of Kelly-Moore Paint products to Heiwajima warehouse.

2005

In June, started sale of new “Stuccolast-E”.


In July, launched sale of “Brighton Color Pallet System.”


In November, non-combustible rating for Stuccolast-E achieved.

2007

In February, started sale of UT-Crete (cement panel)


2008

In February, moved the office and R&D Shop. Closed the warehouse in Shibuya, and consolidated under one roof with the Headquarters.

In August, UT-Crete passed the 30-minute fire rating test


2009 In September, tested KMP Enviro-Coat for VOC (Toluen, Ethylbenzene, Xylene and Styrene), and the test result confirmed no emission of the above.
